.NET Core 3.1 not showing in visual studio?

1 minute read

Visual studio 2019 professional or community edition is not showing the framework “.NET Core 3.1”?

Reply from Visual studio support team,

I have detected that for the last 35 days, this issue didn’t have much product team activity and a very small amount of new votes or comments. Based on this, its severity, and affected area, it’s my experience that this issue is very unlikely to be fixed.

Solution:

.NET core 3.1 requires Visual Studio version 16.5. Check your Visual Studio version. If your Visual Studio version is less than 16.5 then you need to update it to 16.5 or above and try again.

How to update the Visual Studio to the latest version?

Visual Studio 2019 -> Help (Menu) -> Check for Updates.
